Children Dentistry Under General Anaesthesia

At Rhodes Waterside Dental, our goal is to provide children with a dental experience that is pleasant and rewarding. After careful and thorough assessments and consultations, there are times when dental treatment is complex and extensive for children and are best managed under General Anaesthesia.

Following a careful and detailed assessment at the surgery, a proposed treatment plan for your child will be formulated, which will reflect on the anticipated treatment needs and a cost estimate.

General Anaesthetics is carried out as a day-stay surgery at Northwest Day Hospital (part of the Hermitage Health Care Group) located at Suite 102/9 Norbrik Dr, Bella Vista NSW 2153, where our dentists Dr Julie Wu and Dr Teresa Ho are fully accredited.

All dental treatment at Northwest Day Hospital will be carried out with our accredited Specialist Anaesthetist Dr Stephen Han along with a team of specialised surgical and recovery staff.

BUPA Member Care Provider and Child Dental Benefit Scheme

Rhodes Waterside Dental Surgery is a BUPA Member Care provider. We will endeavour to provide an accurate estimate of the cost after our initial evaluation with the correct item numbers. We also have the HICAPS facility on site which allows us to do an automatic claim from your health fund and all health fund cards are accepted.

Dental treatment can also be bulk billed under the Child Dental Benefits Scheme, subject to eligibility and funds being available under the benefit cap. Out of pocket expenses will be incurred once the maximum claim benefit is reached.
